The typical Tuscan style of the Villa la Fonte Farmhouse, and its annexe, envelops guests in a timeless rural setting. The property is located on the Virides Agri farm in Pillo where we produce an excellent Tuscan extra virgin olive oil, and extends for about two hectares across the medieval village of Gambassi Terme. Outside, the sunny swimming pool, the green garden and a wood to be explored await you. Villa la Fonte is a real country Farmhouse, perfect for those seeking relaxation in harmony with nature; but Pillo is also the ideal starting point for those wishing to explore Tuscany on foot thanks to its convenient location near the ancient Via Francigena that once led pilgrims to Rome.

Within the farm you can discover and admire the animals that live there, as well as typical local plants. You can also take a short drive to the villages of the Florentine Chianti region, to accompany with an unmissable tour of the local wineries. The Farmhouse and the annexe can host up to 14 guests and the spaces are totally exclusive, for maximum privacy and safety. Both the villa and the annexe are equipped with an alarm system and air conditioning for a safe and pleasant stay.

Set in the countryside of the Florentine Chianti hills, Villa La Fonte will give you moments of tranquillity thanks to the exclusivity of the spaces and the attractive furnishings. Experience the comfort and silence of the reading room with the built-in fireplace; relive ancient emotions in the living room with the large historic fireplace around which our parents used to sit to warm up and tell stories, the perfect place to rest, perhaps after a day discovering the views of the Via Francigena of Gambassi Terme. On the ground floor of the farmhouse you will also find a large kitchen and a dining room where you can enjoy the best Tuscan specialties.

On the upper floors, 4 comfortable bedrooms await you, furnished in a refined way, equipped with air conditioning and private bathroom. From one of the double bedrooms it is possible to access a characteristic attic of the villa. In this environment we find two single beds where the little ones are always fascinated by its magical atmosphere, and where they can build their own kingdom of desires submerged by the many games left available to dream of traveling on a flying carpet like in fairy tales.

Prova il comfort e il silenzio della stanza da lettura con il camino incassato; rivivi antiche emozioni nel soggiorno dal grande camino storico intorno al quale usavano sedere i nostri genitori per scaldarsi e raccontare storie, luogo perfetto per riposarsi magari dopo una giornata alla scoperta dei panorami della Via Francigena di Gambassi Terme. Sempre al piano terreno dell’agriturismo troverai un’ampia cucina e una sala da pranzo dove gustare le migliori specialità della Toscana.

Ai piani superiori ti aspettano le 4 comode camere da letto, arredate in modo raffinato, dotate di aria condizionata e bagno privato. Da una delle camere matrimoniali è possibile accedere ad un caratteristico sottotetto della villa. In questo ambiente troviamo due letti singoli dove i più piccoli rimangono sempre affascinati dalla sua magica atmosfera, e dove possono costruire il proprio regno dei desideri sommersi dai tanti giochi lasciati a disposizione per sognare di viaggiare su un tappeto volante come nelle favole.

The Annexe, next to the main villa, stands in the location of the farm’s old barn. The welcoming interiors combine a modern style with Tuscan tradition, and the house is perfect for those looking for elegant and essential design. Open the windows of the annexe and listen to the sounds of nature in the hills of Gambassi Terme!

Arranged over two levels, it can accommodate up to 4 people. It is carefully designed to accommodate people with disabilities. In fact, we have arranged the double bedroom and the bathroom with accessible shower on the ground floor. A delightful balcony with a historic staircase leads to the second level, the open space of the second double bedroom, located in the attic, where magic continues to delight guests thanks to the refined furnishings and windows that frame the surrounding landscape.

Immerse yourself in nature and dive into the pool!

Staying at Villa La Fonte means fully enjoying the tranquillity of the surrounding nature; the 2 hectares of green space around the Farmhouse is entirely dedicated to its guests: you can explore ancient olive groves, smell the typical plants of the area and stroll in the shade of the accessible and well-kept wood. The area can be accessed through a gate in order to ensure that the Farmhouse remains private.

To cool off on hot summer days, dive into the sun-kissed pool, including sun loungers, a porch and garden furniture. At sunset, after a day spent exploring the museums and shops of the most beautiful art cities of Tuscany such as Siena, Pisa and Florence, or the nearby medieval village of Gambassi Terme, stop for a romantic poolside aperitif, sipping on good wine from the surrounding wineries.

To end the day in the best possible way, sit at the table in the pleasant barbecue area with wood oven, right in front of the villa, and enjoy the typical products of Tuscan cuisine in the magical atmosphere of the evening.

All’area si accede oltrepassando un cancello così da garantire privacy ed esclusività all’Agriturismo.

Per rinfrescarti nelle calde giornate estive tuffati nella piscina baciata dal sole tutto il giorno, comprensiva di lettini, un porticato ed arredo da giardino. Al tramonto, dopo un giorno trascorso ad esplorare le più belle città d’arte della Toscana come Siena, Pisa e Firenze, con i loro musei e negozi o il vicino borgo medievale di Gambassi Terme, fermati per un romantico aperitivo a bordo piscina degustando il buon vino delle cantine circostanti.

Per concludere la giornata nel migliore dei modi siediti a tavola nella piacevole area barbecue con forno a legna, proprio davanti alla villa, e gusta i prodotti tipici della tradizione gastronomica Toscana nella magica atmosfera della sera.

The ancient nineteenth century style lives on in the Tuscan Farmhouse of Villa La Fonte

Before being transformed and used as a holiday farmhouse, the manor house was a historic agricultural farmhouse, typical of the peasants of the Tuscan countryside. With skilful and conservative renovation, we have given life to this large elegant villa which still preserves the original spirit and the stunning architectural features of early nineteenth century Tuscan farmhouses. Surrendering to the warm atmosphere of this farmhouse in Gambassi Terme, our guests will experience places and memories of the past, rediscovering slow rhythms and forgotten traditions without giving up the comforts of a dream holiday among the postcard views of the Florentine Chianti region. Present, past and future blend in harmony with a magnificent view of unspoiled nature to be experienced and discovered.
